James Gunn

James Francis Gunn Jr. ist ein US-amerikanischer Filmemacher. Er begann seine Karriere Mitte der 1990er-Jahre als Drehbuchautor bei Troma Entertainment mit dem Film „Tromeo und Julia“ (1996). Anschließend führte er Regie, zunächst mit der Horror-Komödie „Slither“ (2006), bevor er sich dem Superhelden-Genre zuwandte und Filme wie „Super“ (2010), „Guardians of the Galaxy“ (2014), „Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2“ (2017), „The Suicide Squad“ (2021), „Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3“ (2023) und „Superman“ (2025) drehte.
